There Is Some Sanity At W&M

Not that there is universal approval at William & Mary over "The Century Project." A student group organized to object to the exhibit and to promote mainstream ways to empower women, since that ostensibly is one of the reasons for this so-called "art" exhibit.  Regarding the photographs of naked minors that make up a portion of the display, and the photographer's rationalization for including them, former W&M professor John Foubert said, "It is fundamentally unethical for institutions of higher education to pay men to take pictures of underage girls and display them and hide behind some trumped up definition of art."

We're glad there are voices of sanity and reason on campus. We hope more of them, as well as alumni, find the courage to come out and make themselves heard, and heard loud.
