Annotations & Elucidations The Governor's Big Booster Boosts McDonnell; Famous Astronaut Boosts Life

Leading the news today is the huge announcement that one of Governor Tim Kaine's largest donors, billionaire Democrat Sheila Johnson, has endorsed Republican Bob McDonnell for governor. This woman is so tight with DNC Chairman Kaine that she paid for his travel to last year's Democrat National Convention. The announcement kind of takes the air out of Democrat  gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds' economic plan balloon, released yesterday as well, since Johnson, who knows how to make a billion dollars and create jobs, says flat out McDonnell would make a "great jobs governor. (Who said advertising doesn't work?)

The life issue is center stage today nationally. Among ObamaCare's socialism check list, apparently, is taxpayer funded abortions, the prohibition thereof a policy both parties have backed for decades. The idea ain't helping him get his utopia bill through. We have several commentaries and articles on the socialized medicine scheme and the abortion angle. We highly recommend all of them. Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) is taking on Planned Parenthood with a bill he introduced in the House. Finally, the American Family Association Blog has a brief commentary about a pro-life video we posted last week. It's unique, and it has a famous astronaut supporting it. We suggest you check that out, too.
