The constant attacks on our religious freedom? The absurd accusations of a "war on women" and "contraception"? The hysterical bullying by militant homosexuals of anyone who dares publicly support traditional marriage? The untenable $16 trillion debt? The combination it all? When do you reach a boiling point?
It's clear that sitting out this year's election simply is not an option. The consequences of inaction simply are too great. To encourage voter participation, we're launching a new GOTV social media video that you can view by clicking here or clicking below. Then be sure to spread it through your social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.
Don't get burned, again. With so much at stake this year, be sure to vote this November!
This video is part of another aspect of our 2012 Winning Matters Campaign. For the past several months The Family Foundation Action has been working with CitizenLink, formerly Focus on the Family Action, to conduct an extensive voter identification, education and mobilization plan to ensure Virginia's pro-family community participates in this year's pivotal election.
In addition to five field offices that have been conducting voter identification call centers for several weeks, TFF Action field staff also are directing door-to-door voter canvassing efforts in key areas of the Commonwealth. If you would like to volunteer at any of our field offices please contact the field staff listed below at the location closest you your area.
We've also partnered with CitizenLink to direct mail more than three-quarters of a million voter education pieces to households in Virginia. You can see examples of the mailers by clicking here and here. These mailers are part of an eight-battleground-state direct mail campaign directed by CitizenLink, focusing on the issues of marriage, life and religious liberty.
The Family Foundation also has produced and distributed several public service announcements on radio across the state, encouraging Virginians first to register to vote and then to vote their values on Election Day. You can listen to two of our PSAs: One about how the Senate election in Virginia will affect the Supreme Court and one about our choice for senator will affect major policy issues concerning families.
All of this is in addition to The Family Foundation's 2012 Presidential and U.S. Senate Voter Guides that are being distributed through churches across Virginia and through our new vavotes.net website. We also have a video promoting the voter guides available for download to be played in churches available here (click on the video's panel as it appears).
Needless to say, we are doing all we can — both on the ground and in new media — to ensure that as many pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-religious liberty voters are well informed and mobilized to vote on Election Day. We encourage you to take advantage of these resources to educate yourself and others on the great issues facing Virginia families come November 6.
