Second Annual Ride For The Unborn Is This Saturday!

The Family Foundation and motorcycle riders? Rallying for the unborn? Might seem a bit of an odd couple arrangement, but not really. There are many motorcycle ministries around Virginia and for the second consecutive year numerous riders will descend on Richmond to demonstrate that the pro-life movement cuts across a remarkably diverse segment of society at the family-friendly Second Annual Ride For The Unborn. It's not too late to sign up for the Ride for the Unborn, which takes place this Saturday, September 14. It starts at The Heights Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, will ride through the City of Richmond, into Capitol Square and back to the church. Motorcycle ministries and pro-life advocates will join from across the commonwealth to celebrate God's precious gift of life. If you don't ride but know of riders or a motorcycle ministry, please forward them this information or share it on your social media sites.

The program and ride are free, but there is a $10 fee for those desiring to stay for a delicious barbeque lunch from King's Korner Catering. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the program starts at 10:00. We expect the ride to end around 12:30 and those who are able to stay can then join us for lunch.

As we enjoy the scenic route, we want to make a tangible difference by supporting our local Pregnancy Resource Centers. This year, we would like to support one of the newer local PRCs, The East End Pregnancy Resource Center. A representative from the PRC will be onsite to receive donations. We hope you will consider donating any of the following items on its needs list this: Wal-Mart gift cards, Pampers, baby toiletries, onesies, blankets, crib sheets, boys and girls outfits, sleepers, diaper bags, wipes, almost anything baby! If you can't stay, you can drop by and drop off your donation, or if you can't come, call us at 343-0010 and we'll find a way to get it to the East End PRC.

Even if you don't ride, come join us for this incredible event — it is an experience you will not want to miss. Imagine more than 100 motorcycles roaring into Capitol Square in support of life. What a statement on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. Click here to view some pictures of last year's event or click here to see a video of 2012's successful ride.

So that we can provide enough food and make the proper preparations, please register at If you are staying for lunch and do not pay online, please bring cash or a check on Saturday as we will not be equipped to process credit cards.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
