In this year's election cycle, The Family Foundation and Family Foundation Action worked with our partners at CitizenLink to:
» Canvass over 71,000 homes in Virginia in key regions and House of Delegates districts
» Distribute 132,000 General Assembly Report Cards
» Distribute nearly half a million non-partisan voter guides
» Mail nearly 100,000 pro-life candidate education pieces
» Host nearly 200 pastors at multiple briefings
» Directly contact nearly 4,000 pastors
» Make nearly 1 million automated or live voter identification and get-out-the-vote calls
Through the hard work of twelve campaign workers and nearly one thousand volunteers, our organizations combined to reach tens of thousands pro-life, pro-family voters to urge them to get to the polls on Election Day and vote their values.
Did it work? Great question. What we do know is that in two of the House of Delegate’s districts targeted, the pro-family candidates won by fewer than 250 votes and, in a third, the pro-family candidate won by less than 2,000 votes in an extremely high turnout race. I honestly believe that our efforts in those areas contributed to pro-family candidates prevailing.
I want to take a moment to thank all of you who helped The Family Foundation and Family Foundation Action through volunteering your time, energy or financial resources to our Winning Matters campaign. Valuable lessons were learned and our team is already analyzing what worked, what didn't and how we can improve our campaign in the future — ideas that I hope to share with you in the coming days.
