Just days after freshman Delegate Brenda Pogge (R-96, Williamsburg) sent a letter to William and Mary President Gene Nichol, the controversial leader of the university has resigned effective immediatly. If he had taken her advice in the letter (which this blog posted before any other), maybe he'd still have a job?

Seriously, this brings an end to a particularly sad chapter for the otherwise highly regarded university. Perhaps now its Board of Visitors can find someone focused on true academia.
