Who's an '80s music head out there? Remember Naked Eyes? Maybe, maybe not, but I bet you remember their big hit. Everyone does. "Promises, Promises." Can't think of a catchier tune than that. So, here's one for you: Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama has made a promise of a tax cut for "95 percent of the American people" an a tax increase "on the richest five percent" the centerpiece of his economic plan.

But there's a problem on the way to the bank, as in this fact: Only 70 percent of Americans pay federal income taxes. Kind of reminds you of the last time a candidate promised a "middle class tax cut." The middle class got no tax cut and every class paid a lot more in taxes.

You made me promises, promises Knowing I'd believe Promises, promises You knew you'd never keep
