Update: Choose Life License Plates Deadline Approaching FastDec 30, 2008
There are only a few days left to sign up for your "Choose Life" license plate and to ensure that legislation creating these specialty plates passes the General Assembly. As of today the effort to reach 350 pre-paid applications (the number required by the General Assembly to review the bill) had not been reached, but we're closing in fast. If you'd like to ensure that this plate becomes available, please act today. As we mentioned in the fall, with the support of The Richmond Coalition for Life, Senator Ken Cuccinelli (R-37, Fairfax) will patron SB 801. Should the bill pass and be signed into law, it will provide for a "Choose Life" revenue-generating license plate, with funds raised going to
"not-for-profit agencies, located within their boundaries, that provide counseling and other services intended to meet the needs of expectant mothers who are committed to placing their children for adoption."
If you would like to assist in seeing this bill succeed, then please do the following:
» Please support this effort by printing and submitting the DMV Choose Life license plate pre-application form, found by clicking here. Please read and follow the instructions on the form carefully. If the legislation is not signed into law, your application fee will be returned.
» Visit www.vachoose-life.org to learn about other ways to take action!
Should you have further questions concerning this process or how you can support this effort, please don't hesitate to contact Brian Mazanec at email@example.com.
Remember, time is running out! Don't delay in taking action. Reserve your "Choose Life" license plate today and help encourage Virginia to "Choose Life" and provide a new mechanism to generate funds for adoption providing non-profits!
