Recently, someone mentioned to me that while they were eating dinner with some friends, all highly educated, reasonable people, the conversation started to sound like a scene out of "Conspiracy Theory."  But as we learn more about the "change" a majority of Americans fell voted for in November, the more bizarre things get.  It's hard enough to believe that we now have more Czars in Washington than they have in Moscow, but then we hear that two U.S. Senators have introduced a law that would give the President control over the Internet in a White House defined Cyber-Attack. Cue in Mel Gibson.

Some of the things we are hearing about are hard to believe, and we know that in an age of what former Charlottesville Daily Progress reporter Bob Gibson calls "designer information," its difficult to know what to trust.  Some reports just seem so outrageous.

So last week when I saw a Fox News headline that screamed "UN Report Advocates Teaching Masturbation to 5 year-olds,"I had that, "Oh, this is going to be another exaggeration" moment.  Certainly, even the U.N., as wacky as it is, wouldn't publicly endorse such a foolish concept.

Then I read the report for myself.  Believe me, the whole teaching  5-year-olds about masturbation thing is just the tip of the iceberg.  There is stuff in here that should make every parent who cares at all about their children shudder, starting with the line "teachers remain the best qualified and the most trusted providers of information and support for most children and young people."

Oh really????!!!!! Funny, as the father of a three year old I have only one thing to say: MY WIFE AND I ARE THE BEST QUALIFIED AND MOST TRUSTED PROVIDERS OF INFORMATION AND SUPPORT FOR OUR CHILD!!!!!

The arrogance  these people continues to astound.  But that's just the beginning.  If you don't believe me, read it for yourself.  You'll find things like teaching kids 5-8 years old about redefining family, or how about teaching 9-12 year-olds about "homophobia and transphobia" and the legal issues surrounding abortion.  Nine-years-old, that's 4th grade people!  Believe me that's just the beginning.

At some point people, this has to stop.
