Congratulations!May 20, 2013
On Saturday the Republican Party of Virginia chose its candidates for this year’s crucial statewide races. Two former Family Foundation Legislator of the Year winners and our former chaplain make up the ticket. Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, the party’s nominee for Governor, won TFF’s Legislator of the Year award in 2008 for his work defending life, property rights, and other important principles. State Senator Mark Obenshain, the nominee for Attorney General, won the LoY award in 2007 for his work passing legislation that requires public libraries to have internet filtering technology on their computers.
Former Family Foundation chaplain Bishop E.W. Jackson won the party nomination for Lt. Governor.
We congratulate all three nominees! As anticipated, the secular left has gone into hysterics over the fact that all three candidates are actually conservative. If you took the word “extreme” out of their talking points there would be nothing left. This comes as absolutely no surprise to anyone, but plan on getting used to the attacks.
On Friday evening The Family Foundation hosted a suite at the Richmond Hilton Garden Inn as Republican activists came to town for the Convention. We want to congratulate our drawing winners Dale Swanson from Spotsylvania, who won free tickets to the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit, and Rev. Michael Hirsch of Fredericksburg, who won a free Kindle Fire. Thanks also to everyone who came by the suite!
