That must have been what reporters thought when, on Tuesday, Virginia Democrats held a conference call for them with the President of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards, to smear Republican candidates for statewide office. According to Breitbat.com, the media was not allowed to ask questions, leaving claims by the abortion industry and its liberal apologists, such as Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe, to go unchallenged. While only one newspaper reported the call, no one in the Mainstream Media reported the lack of candidate availability or their apparent refusal to answer any questions. All this leaves us to wonder what pro-abortion candidates have to hide. Virginians deserve to know if the Democrat ticket of McAuliffe, lieutenant governor candidate Ralph Northam and attorney general candidate  Mark Herring, agree with Planned Parenthood's extreme positions on abortion.

Hello? Terry, are you there? Do you oppose Gosnell-stopping legislation? Terry? Terry? He must be on the line to China (h/t Breitbart.com). Wonder if he ever bought secured those visas (see Washington Post) . . . .

Some examples:

Do Virginia's Democrat statewide candidates agree with a Planned Parenthood representative that the killing of a child born after a failed abortion should be a decision left to the woman and the doctor?

In shocking testimony before the Florida legislature, a Planned Parenthood lobbyist refused to say that medical personnel should help a baby born alive after a failed abortion. Incredibly, Planned Parenthood lobbyist Alisa LaPolt Snow argued that helping a newborn who has survived a botched abortion "inserts politics where it doesn't belong."

Here's an excerpt of the exchange between Snow and Florida Representative Jim Boyd (see video, here):

Rep. Boyd: So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief. If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?

Ms. Snow: We believe that any decision that's made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician.

Do Virginia's Democrat statewide candidates agree with Planned Parenthood and against nearly 60 percent of Americans in their opposition to limiting late-term abortions? Do they also support sex selection abortion?

According to a July 24 news release issued by Women Speak Out Virginia PAC Press Release:

McAuliffe's campaign was asked by The Washington Post to confirm or deny that McAuliffe supports "a platform of abortion on-demand at any time, for any reason, paid for by Virginia taxpayers," including "sex-selective abortion, late-term abortion, partial-birth abortion, and abortions on teenage girls without parental consent — all paid for by Virginia taxpayers." McAuliffe spokesman Josh Schwerin declined to comment to the Post.

Do Virginia's Democrat statewide candidates support Planned Parenthood's decision to not report the atrocities that happened in Kermit Gosnell's abortion center when they knew what was happening?

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer:

Dayle Steinberg, the organization's President and Chief Executive, said that when Gosnell was in practice, "women would sometimes come to Planned Parenthood for services after first visiting Gosnell's West Philadelphia clinic, and would complain to staff about the conditions there.

"We would always encourage them to report it to the Department of Health," Steinberg said. ...

Why didn’t Planned Parenthood report it?

Is it possible that liberals in Virginia know how far outside the mainstream they are on abortion and are afraid to be confronted with tough questions (and try to stick the "extremist" tag on the GOP to obfuscate their own outrageous opposition of Gosnell-stopping legislation)? Will the media ever do its job and force candidates to answer the questions or simply allow themselves to be stonewalled?
