Breaking News: See Just Released Cuccinelli 30 Minute Speech To Be Aired On Statewide TelevisionSep 19, 2013
Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, the Republican candidate for governor, just released a rumored 30-minute speech that will be aired on statewide television later this campaign. It is below in its entirety. Here is the full statement released by the campaign in conjunction with the video:
The Cuccinelli for Governor Campaign today released a 30-minute speech that will air on television over the coming weeks. In the speech, “Fighting for Virginia,” Cuccinelli discusses his plan for growing the economy, creating jobs and ensuring all children have the opportunity to have a quality education. Cuccinelli asserts that by adhering to our founding first principles of individual liberty, equality, limited government and opportunity, Virginia will remain one of the best places to start a business, raise a family and retire.
The speech stands in stark contrast to Terry McAuliffe's consistent and stunning inability to articulate a substantive, positive vision for Virginia's future.
Terry McAuliffe has yet to prove he has 30 minutes of knowledge of Virginia government or issues, much less give a 30 minute summary of what he'd do in four years as governor. Just this week he's made three incredible gaffes: He said he'd undermine the newly created and bipartisan abortion center safety standards to protect women and which would prevent a Kermit Gosnell situation in Virginia (see Breitbart.com) and said he'd do it by means of which no one in Virginia government is familiar (see David Sherfinksi at the Washington Times); said he "wouldn't read" bills as governor but would "hire people to do that for me" (see Washington Post); and he indicated he would shut down Virginia government for the first time in history (see Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star) if the General Assembly didn't include a bankrupting expansion of Medicaid in the budget it sent him, which would do harm to police, fire, transportation and education.
