"You're Either In, Or You're Out."Apr 14, 2015
Recently, Governor Terry McAuliffe, commenting on the radio about his veto of the Homeschool Sports Access Bill said of public schools, “This is not a cafeteria where you can pick and choose what you want. You’re either in, or you’re out.” While the Governor’s “you’re either in or you’re out” comment was theoretically targeted only at home school families, it’s pretty clear that it could be the mantra of the secular liberal elite and, for that matter, the Democrat party. And it isn't just education. Evidently, they apply “you’re either in or you’re out” to anyone that disagrees with them on any issue, anytime.
It’s the progressive definition of tolerance and choice.
They will tolerate you anytime you choose and believe what they want. Choose differently, and watch out. Their idea of a pluralistic America is, well, rather monolithic.
Perhaps nowhere is this more evident than the battle between religious freedom and erotic liberty. You are either in – rejecting any and all moral sexual boundaries – or you’re out. Choose wrongly, and your business will be at the very least threatened; you’ll face public humiliation and scorn; you’ll lose your job, etc.
Perhaps Terry McAuliffe is onto something, the new progressive slogan for their version of America: You’re either in, or you’re out.
He should apply for the trademark.
