Extended Biography of Phill Kline
Phill Kline, born and raised in Kansas, attended Central Missouri State
University for his undergraduate studies and continued to the University
of Kansas School of Law earning his law degree in 1987. Beginning as a Kansas
City law firm litigator, Kline was elected to the Kansas House of Representatives
in 1992. His eight years in the House earned him a reputation as a pro-active
leader specifically in the areas of responsible government, crime victims'
rights, and welfare reform. In 2003, Phill Kline was elected as Kansas'
41st Attorney General. One of his greatest achievements while in office
was his establishment of a Cyber Crimes Task Force that placed in prison
over 100 Internet predators of children. Phill Kline also initiated an investigation
into illegal late-term abortions and other illegal activities inside Planned
Parenthood. The resulting investigation led to 90 judicially ordered subpoenas
for abortion records from primarily two Kansas City abortion clinics (one
of which was run by Planned Parenthood). While Kline was successful in obtaining
these records, his efforts to put principles over politics also lost him
his re-election bid to a candidate who accepted exorbitant financial support
from the abortion industry and who promised to end the abortion clinic investigate
that Kline had started. However, Phill Kline's fight against the abortion
industry made him the first prosecutor since Roe v. Wade to successfully
acquire Planned Parenthood's abortion records. Along with Chief Justice
John Roberts, Justice Samuel Alito, James Dobson, and Father Frank Pavone,
Phill Kline has been named a domestic terrorist by Planned Parenthood. Today,
Phill Kline resides in Johnson County, Kansas with his wife, Deborah, and
their teenage daughter, Hillary.
