NEW Parental Rights Report Card!

At the beginning of the 2022 General Assembly session, we predicted that while the Republican majority in the House would advance bills to strengthen parental rights, the Democrat-led Senate would ultimately prevent many of those measures from passing.  Unfortunately, that predication came to fruition.

In Part II of our General Assembly Recap, we informed you that, despite approving SB 656 requiring parental review of sexually explicit material and SB 739 eliminating the mask mandate in public schools, the Senate Education & Health committee defeated many reasonable bills aimed at strengthening parental rights, typically along partisan lines.

This new resource details how members of the Senate Education & Health Committee voted on some of those important bills intended to reinforce the fundamental rights of parents to direct the education and well-being of their children.
