Jonathan Cahn: Why America’s Going Pagan; Plus, Mocking Easter with Trans Ideology

One of the most recent indicators of moral decay in our country happened over Easter as we witnessed the President of the United States declare Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter Sunday.

From parades to drag queen story hours, people are being pressured to buy in or go along with the hypersexualization and normalization of same-sex marriage and the radical gender ideological movement.

Now we see that transgender activists such as President Biden and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors are openly elevating this ideology to the same level as - or even above - the Christian faith, compelling tax paying Christians to be a part of celebrate something that violates their deeply held beliefs and desecrates the holiest day in Christendom. Rather than acknowledge the Judeo-Christian heritage that our nation was founded upon and a 2,000-year-old holy day, President Biden and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors chose to exalt a day about transgenderism, without making any proclamation for Easter Sunday.

How did we get to this level of paganization in our culture?

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, designated by Charisma magazine as one of the most influential Christian speakers in the last few decades making an impact on our culture, spoke recently at one of The Family Foundation’s events on this very topic.

Cahn emphasized the importance of the spiritual aspects of our battles, stating, “The word of God says we war not against flesh and blood, but principalities, rulers, darkness, spiritual forces…”

He cites Matthew 12:43-45 where Jesus says: 43 “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”

Offering a thought provoking point, Cahn said, “[Jesus is] talking about cultures, civilizations. They can be possessed, and they can be delivered, and they can be repossessed. So here we have a warning, and to the modern world and to America, and the warning is this: any nation, any culture, any civilization that has known God, been delivered by God, cleansed by God, exorcised by God … if it should ever empty itself of the Spirit, of the power, of the Gospel, of the Word that delivered it, then the spirits that were cast out of it will come back into it. They will return to the house from which they came. [They] will come back to turn a Judeo-Christian civilization or nation into a pagan one. They will begin the process of paganization. And if you want to understand what's happening to our nation in the last half century, the increasingly dark, irrational changes that are taking place, we are dealing with a re-paganization.”

It was a fitting observation considering President Biden’s desecration of Easter Sunday. Yet Cahn did not conclude there but went on to encourage the audience: “These are the days that actually produce the great and mighty men and women of God.”

He exhorted the audience to rise up and contend for the faith, whether in government, in the classroom, or in our communities. We must recognize that we serve the God of the universe. We must humble ourselves and follow Him in complete obedience.
