Help Stop Physician Assisted Suicide

Please contact your Delegate and Senator and urge them to OPPOSE Physician Assisted Suicide - SB 359 and HB 886

There is no regard for life, whether in the womb or until natural death right now. Delegate Patrick Hope (D) and Senator Jennifer Boysco (D) have once again introduced legislation to legalize physician assisted suicide (HB 886 and SB 359). These bills would allow physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants to prescribe or dispense lethal drugs for the purpose of ending a patient’s life, without requiring a meaningful mental health evaluation. This dangerous policy puts vulnerable Virginians at serious risk and undermines true compassionate care.

A similar bill passed the Senate in 2024 but failed to secure enough votes in the House. While supporters of physician assisted suicide are determined to push it through again, with your voice we have a chance to stop this bill again.

It is truly unbelievable what we are witnessing in Virginia and across the country. From the abortion amendment in Virginia to the obstruction of church services and efforts to silence people of faith, the ideological left continues to show a deepening disregard for the value of human life and fundamental freedom of religious liberty. They continue to press forward to expand access to abortion-causing drugs, remove long-standing protections for women, coerce people of faith to violate their convictions, and suppress pro-life voices from the public square.

And the left is making sure nobody can persuade a woman away from abortion!

Today, SB 137, Virginia’s version of the federal FACE Act passed out of the Senate Courts of Justice Committee on a 8–7 vote. This legislation raises serious concerns about free speech and the ability of people of faith to peacefully pray, speak, and offer help near abortion facilities without fear of criminal penalties.

We are seeing similar upheavals across the nation. In Minnesota, an anti-ICE mob disrupted and obstructed a church service, intimidating congregants. That incident is now reportedly under investigation for potential violations of federal law, including the FACE Act, as it should be. Intimidation, disruption, and mob tactics have no place in a free society. Yet, the same political movement that condemns such conduct is advancing legislation in Virginia that would target peaceful prayer and respectful conversation.

The left is unhinged, but commonsense people and people of faith must remain strong and continue to stand up to these threats and intimidations with our voice.
