If TFF Action was unable to obtain a survey from a candidate, then voting records, public statements, or party platform were relied upon to designate a candidate's position.  If none of these sources provided enough information to indicate a candidate's position, TFF Action marked the response as (NR) for no response.  Whenever available, responses based on public statements are marked (A). Candidate's positions based on survey results are marked (B). Candidate’s positions based on voting records are marked (C). The platform of the candidate’s party, when available, is marked (D). The Family Foundation Action is a 501(c)(4) non-profit, non-partisan organization. Nothing in this guide is to be construed as an endorsement of any candidate or party.
