When policies grow darker and the pressure on families intensifies, parents and concerned citizens across Virginia must rise. This is the moment to sound the alarm, confront the dangers facing our children, and stand unflinchingly for our cubs and alongside parents.
With the leftist majority in Richmond nearing supermajority control, parents must be ready to mobilize quickly against efforts that sideline families, confuse children, and expand government control over both classroom instruction and attacks on home education.
We must be prepared to mobilize against policies that would:
• Strip away parents' opt-out rights protecting kids from explicit curriculum,
• Undermine school boards ability to respond to parents concerns about graphic, age-inappropriate material in classrooms,
• Remove parent involvement in school transgender policies, and
• Attack homeschooling freedoms
Don’t Tread on Parents Day is the moment Virginia families unite to declare:
Our children are not wards of the state, and our rights will not be trampled.
Parents, grandparents, pastors, and citizens from across the Commonwealth will gather to:
• Expose harmful policies targeting families,
• Defend parental authority in every arena—including homeschooling,
• Call lawmakers to protect children, not activist agendas.
In this moment, Virginia needs families—and those who support them—to come stand behind courageous parents who are standing up for their cubs. Government intrusion is growing, and the threats to parental rights are real. That is why Virginia families are drawing a firm, unmistakable line:
Don’t tread on parents—Not in our schools. Not in our homes. Not in Virginia.
